About Lisa Gale, Founder of Cognitive Care of the Carolinas

Lisa Gale is a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner with a background in Occupational Therapy, dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). Her work is rooted in compassion, clinical insight, and a strong commitment to improving quality of life through education, enrichment, and respite care.

As a Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Practitioner, Lisa designs each Brain Enrichment program day based on the evidence-based principles of CST, fostering cognitive engagement, meaningful interaction, and a sense of purpose for participants.

Lisa's professional expertise is deeply enriched by her personal experience as a caregiver.  Having walked that path herself, she brings empathy, respect, and a clear understanding of the emotional and physical challenges that caregiving can bring.  This perspective shapes every aspect of her approach, ensuring that caregivers and those they support feel seen, heard, and valued.

She is also a Senior Home Safety Specialist and a Falls Prevention Specialist, providing comprehensive assessments and practical recommendations to help older adults live more safely and independently.  From home modifications to improving daily accessibility, Lisa focuses on reducing risks and building confidence in everyday living.

Through Cognitive Care of the Carolinas, Lisa's mission is to empower caregivers, enrich lives, and foster dementia-informed communities where safety, dignity, and connection are always at the forefront.
