Every year:
Fourteen million, or 1 in 4 Americans age 65+, fall each year. 1
Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries among older adults. 2
In 2021, falls caused 38,000 deaths among those age 65+, and emergency departments reported 3 million visits due to older adult falls. 2
Falling once doubles your chances of falling again. 3
Designed for adults who want to protect their cognitive and physical health, Brain Enrichment Time is also beneficial for those experiencing cognitive changes due to normal aging, stroke, brain injury, chemotherapy, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), or dementia.
Each 3-hour session is rooted in the evidence-based principles of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST). The program blends cognitive activities, functional exercise, music, and social interaction to provide a holistic and engaging experience. Activities stimulate multiple areas of cognition, including memory, attention, language, and problem-solving, while purposeful, rhythmic functional exercises support mobility, coordination, bilateral integration, balance, and reduced fall risk.
Research behind CST demonstrates that consistent, structured mental engagement can help individuals maintain cognitive function longer, improve mood, and enhance quality of life. Additionally, functional movement incorporated throughout each session boosts blood flow to the brain, reduces stress, and supports overall wellness.
Delivered in a warm, supportive group environment, Brain Enrichment Time promotes confidence, dignity, and joyful connection, helping participants feel engaged, empowered, and seen.
Membership is offered on a monthly basis, with the option to attend once or twice per week, depending on individual needs and scheduling.
Brain Enrichment Time offers caregivers something invaluable: reliable, guilt-free respite. Whether you use this time for a doctor's appointment, self-care, errands, or simply to rest, you can do so with peace of mind, knowing your loved one is receiving compassionate, professional care in a safe and engaging environment.
Caregiver well-being matters. Regular respite helps reduce stress and burnout, allowing you to return to your caregiving role feeling more balanced and supported.
In addition to respite, Brain Enrichment Time provides practical education and tools to help you better understand cognitive changes your loved one may be experiencing. Through personalized guidance, community resources, and a supportive environment, we help build your confidence and capacity as a care partner so you're not navigating this journey alone.
